The first time I came to Dr. Ostroff, I had recently had major surgery followed by three miserable respiratory infections, which were treated with antibiotics by my conventional doctors. In 2003 I traveled to a variety of different countries abroad, including Turkey, Greece, Jordan and Egypt. During my travels I contracted 2 sinus and chest infections and possibly some dysentery. I was medicated with some very strong antibiotics for 2 week. Upon my return I gained 10-15 pounds and was unable to control my weight gain. To top it off I felt horrible and suffered from indigestion after meals. It has been 5 years since the “miracle birth” of my son Max. "When I first visited Dr. Ostroff, I was in the midst of a 17-month episode of chronic fatigue, the third such episode in five years. I had a window of about 2 hours each morning where I had enough energy to function and get done the essentials around the house, including preparing the evening meal. By noon, I was exhausted and flat on my back on the sofa. I couldn't walk up a flight of steps without gasping for breath. Sitting was uncomfortable and laying down was painful. When I first saw Dr. Ostroff, I was suffering from frequent fatigue, diarrhea, and nausea. For the past 2 years, I saw my medical doctor every 3 or 4 months. While he ruled out any serious conditions, he could not help me to feel better. Over time, these symptoms had gotten progressively worse. My fatigue go so bad that I had difficulty getting out of bed in the morning. During my worst months, I missed at least one day of work each week. It has been a little over 3 months since I began receiving treatment from Dr. Ostroff and not only are my diabetic symptoms non-existent, but my blood sugar levels have decreased by over 200 points!
